I am trying to book a tour for a particular date but it is sold out.  What should I do?

Check back with our ticketing partner, Brown Paper Tickets, frequently.  As tours fill up we make every effort to add additional tours to meet demand.  If all else fails please call our office at 201-653-1500 and we will try to accommodate you.

Can I pay for my tour in cash on the day of the tour?

Since we are limited in our group size we prefer that you purchase your tickets in advance by clicking on the 'Purchase Tickets' link in the left column.  If there are still spaces available on the day of the tour we will accept a cash payment.  Payment must be made prior to the start of your tour. 

What should I bring to the tour?

The tour involves involves a minimal amount of walking.  We follow the motto of the United States Postal Service that 'Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night'  will stop us from completing the NYC BBQ Tour.  In other words the tour happens no matter what the weather might be so please dress appropriately .  Photographs are permitted at all stops.  You will be given a tour pamphlet which contains some great coupons for our host locations. 

What is your refund policy?

Tickets/reservations are non-refundable and can only be used for the stated date and time.  In the event of a suspension of  subway service due to adverse weather conditions a refund will be given.

What type of food samples will be given?

All BBQ samples are chosen by the chefs & pitmasters of the host restaurants.    The tour price also includes sides & soft drinks.  Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase at all our host restaurants.   If you are a vegetarian we recommend you try our 'Mangia Hoboken! The Hoboken Food Tour' which is given every Saturday afternoon.

What is the tipping policy?

It is customary to give your tour guide a 15% gratuity if you received exceptional service.

Do you offer private tours?

Absolutely.  The NYC BBQ Tour is a great  for birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette parties, corporate events etc.  We can arrange a private tour with 24 hour advance notice.  Please contact us for details.

What is the size of the tour group?

The maximim size of the group is 16 guests.  In order for a tour to take place we need a minimum of 4 guests.
